Hi.
I just installed LM on a Dell Laptop.
The installation worked. Next, I went to driver updates. It recommended a new graphics driver.
It installed it and restarted. Now I just have a black screen.
I don't even know what version it was or anything (I think it was nvidia). How do I fix this?

Re: No boot option
Anyway. I finally got it working.
The next thing I did was go to the driver updater. It installed a new recommended GPU driver. Now, every time I load LM, I just get a black screen.
Glad I didn't get rid of Windows yet.

Re: No boot option
I let LM manage the install process. It looks like it installed LM on my small 32GB SSD. I would rather have it on the same large drive where Windows is. Is there a way to uninstall and start over? Edit: I have 2 disks - 500gb with windows on it - 32gb with linux on it In BIOS, if I select the small...

No boot option
Hi I just installed LM on a Dell laptop beside Win 10. When I turn the computer on, it goes straight to Windows. I followed the guide, went back into live version, opened a terminal and typed sudo efibootmgr. It says EFI variables are not supported. What can I do now to load LM without losing windows?

Thanks.
I'm continually impressed by how user friendly Mint is. Even the upgrade process looks simple!

[SOLVED] Sleeping Screen
My display goes to sleep after a few minutes of activity and I have to type in my complicated password every time to wake it up. It's driving me insane. I have changed the power settings to tell the system to go to sleep after 1hr when it's running on the power adapter. Apparently this setting doesn...

Re: File Sharing
Umm weird.
Even though it's not enabled, I can still set up a shared folder in nautilus, and I can see it from my windows computer. However, I cannot log into it. The username and password for my linux mint machine doesn't let me log into the share.
What is going on?

Re: NX?
Never mind. I figured it out.
I had to install openssh-server, which for some reason didn't come preinstalled.
