Re: glibc versions and Mint

Late answer, but I have the same problem with Mint Debian Edition and upgrading BOINC to a 7.x version. Anyway all distro info is at Distrowatch. Here's the Mint page: http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=mint If you need to know the current version you have, type in a terminal ldd --version

How do I shutdown the computer? I can log out and suspend, but not sure how to shut it down?
Thanks! :)

Click on your name on the top right, press and hold the alt key and Suspend changes to Power Off...
Click that and Cancel Restart or Power Off dialogue box appears.

As you say it's fast, I have 4gb of memory and webpages, for example, render virtually instantly. I have nvidia graphics too and need to look at getting the best from my card. The 32 bi...

Re: Shutdown and Restart shortcut?? Possible?

You could use "add to panel" (right click on the panel bar) to put a shutdown button on the panel then it's always available.

Webpage Weirdness In Chrome

Using Chrome on Helena on one box and LMDE on another and this page ( http://www.petsathome.com ) loads and then disappers to blank on both, but works OK on Firefox in both. :?

I only wanted to buy the dogs something to clean their teeth!

Any thoughts? (about Chrome not the teeth)
