Re: Broadcom.......... again!

Ok, sounds like what is failing is the driver is not loading on restart. Since I do not know which driver you are using I will assume it's the STA driver. If it's not, substitute "b43" for wl in my instructions below, without quotes of course. gksudo gedit /etc/modules Put "wl" without quotes at th...

Re: Cant add anything to repository! HELP!

Ok so I marked this as solved but I guess I have one more issue that sort of related. Now I have Synaptic installed along with Mint update but Id prefer not to use Synaptic Id rather use adept. If I remove synaptic it also removes Mint update and then I get the not distro template error. So my quest...

Re: Cant add anything to repository! HELP!

Figured it out! Apparently I removed to much when I was removing Gnome. I accidentally removed the mint update package.......... once I re-installed that it started working correctly.
Thank you for all the help!

Re: Mint Katya running a vanilla KDE install

so on a whim(and curiosity) i went and installed KDE this morning. i gotta say i'm not disliking it. 4.x has seemed to be really polarizing, but i'm having a hard time finding fault in it. this is awfully shiny. 4.6.2 seems to be pretty nice but i'll give a full opinion in a few days. visually it's...
