Re: Mint Droplets - New Wallpaper!
This is a fantastic wallpaper: the shades of green you have chosen are perfect, I love the pattern under the droplets and the center logo looks great. :D Though to maintain my reputation, I should probably attempt some constructive criticism... I find the square highlights a little distractin...

Re: Refresh by Kensai
The dark version looks fantastic too - nice work! 8) A couple of suggestions for potential improvements: The motif appears to be shifted to the right of centre (i.e. there is more space from the left edge of the image to the left side of the motif, than from the right edge of the image to the right ...

Re: New Wallpaper - MintOrb (Update)
I really like what you've done with this wallpaper - especially the 'black satin' version. 8) A few suggestions: I think the sphere would look more realistic if the curve on the top has the same arc as the bottom (which looks perfect) The sphere looks a little blurry next to the sharp mint leaf and ...

Re: Rebrand Linux Mint?
If your creativity gets the better of you though, there are lots of interesting projects out there that need skilled artists. For instance, take a look at Zenwalk - both myself, McLovin and akaned has made some contributions there, #! Crunchbang where omns is the main artist and I have chipped in s...

Re: Rebrand Linux Mint?
My guess is also, as I implied earlier, that the reason for Clem's total silence on this matter is crystal clear, he does NOT want to change the official logo, nor does he want to quibble about it. While I agree with your guess as to why Clem has remained silent, I do not agree that this behaviour ...

Re: New Wallpaper - Plastic Logo
The texture and lighting are excellent!
I like the blocks of colour on the logo, they give the logo more of a leaf look, which is good. However, all the edges in the logo look a little soft - is this part of the 'plastic' effect or something else?
Anyway, great wallpaper Zwopper!

Re: Rebrand Linux Mint?
I'm not convinced about the bold mint ... ...and for some reason the font feels "too low" as if it was pushed together... I'm a big fan of the new leaf though. I just think that the font needs to be changed. Maybe you can create an alternative version of the logo with the changes that you...

Re: Linux Mint Hairy Balls
One more try! :) Now only the front ball has hit the metal floor and the other two are still falling. Maybe this gives the image more movement? http://fc68.deviantart.com/fs38/i/2008/361/0/6/Linux_Mint_Hairy_Balls_by_jernau.jpg [image leads to deviantART page; once there click 'download' to get full...

Re: Linux Mint Hairy Balls
Thanks for the comments. :) I updated it to give the two rear balls a more 'hairy' connection with the surface... I know it's not one of my best, but I was just having some fun with hair! ;) http://fc88.deviantart.com/fs39/i/2008/361/6/3/Linux_Mint_Hairy_Balls_by_jernau.jpg [image leads to deviantAR...

Very nice! To me it looks like a cross between a spider's web and an alien moon... and there's definitely something a little H. R. Giger about it too...

Re: Linux Mint Hairy Balls
Cool concept! 8) Thanks. :D Two faced title! The title was meant to be 'tongue in cheek' (though I realize it's juvenile humour). :) The balls seems somewhat "glued on" to the surface, as if they weren't masked enough... This is most obvious on the two rear balls. I see what you me...
