Hi AndyMH,
Never had a problem with Zoneminder up to and including LM 19. Just 20 causing me problems. Used the same install process as 19 but no luck.
Thanks for your reply,
Michael

Zoneminder
Hi all,
Anyone manage to get Zoneminder to run in LM20? If so, could you please point me to a step by step guide, as I haven't been able to find a solution.
Thanks,
Michael

LM18.3 on Medion Akoya P4010D
Hi all, Just installed LM18.3 64bit XFCE on Medion Akoya P4010D. Everything works fine except the TV Tuner card. Have installed Me-TV but it says no DVB Card installed. The P4010D is an all in one pc with built in TV card. Anyone any ideas how I can get LM to see card.
Thanks,
Michael
Thanks,
Michael

Hi all, I am running LM18.2 64bit xfce on a laptop. Connected to my network are two Synology DS-101 NAS drives. I have managed to have them auto mount at boot by editing the /etc/fstab file to include the following lines :- # Mapping Network Share Synology1 //192.168.1.4/public /media/s1 cifs uid=10...

Hi all, I have an old Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li1705 laptop that is running in "software rendering mode" under Linux Mint 17 and 18. I have read some posts that older chipsets/video chips can have difficulty with recent versions of mint and I am just looking for advice on the best distro to ...

Hi all, I recently installed Zoneminder (on LM 17.2 Rafaela 64bit) and successfully got it up and running. I was rather foolishly tweaking the settings and in the "General" settings went to change the skin from "classic" to "xml". This has now rendered Zoneminder useles...

Re: Problem installing Mint.
Hi Keith,
Thanks for the reply. I tried a few other Mint distros again without success so far. PC works fine with Win XP and Vista.
I will try messing with other linux variants in the next few days and see what happens.

Michael

Re: Seeking some advice
As a a complete nubie and MS User for many years I took the plunge at Mint 11. I had a few issues and then tried 12. Went back to 11 almost straight away, and now it is excellent. I am not dissing 12, it is just that I am a complete novice and am trying to begin to understand the system. Bottom line...

Re: Is Linux Mint 64 bit good to go?
As a lifelong user of MS Windows I recently (2 weeks) decided to dive in at the deep end and took the plunge. I have absolutely no knowledge of Linux and I pieced together a PC and slapped Linux Mint 11 Katya 64bit onto it. It's a basic system with an AMD Athlon 4000 Dual Core, 4gig ram, onboard vid...

Re: Screen resolution
I had a look at the solutions offered but my vid card is nvidia. In any event I connected the PC to a monitor that is recognised and now I'm getting 1280x1024.
Thanks
Michal

Hi all, My second question. I have installed LM11 (64bit) Katya on a desktop connected to a new 32inch flatscreen TV. The Monitor Preferences show it as Unknown M onitor and defaults to 1024x768 60Hz. I would like to increase this to about 1280x1024. Is this possible and if so, how. Thanks in advanc...
