How to turn laptop into wifi hotspot

Installed the Linux Mint KDE 12 on a Lenovo G570. I use a 3G USB modem to connect to the internet. I have a tablet which can connect to the internet using Wifi. Windows 7 enables me to turn the laptop into a Virtual Router and use it as a wifi hotspot. How can I do this using KDE?

+surjagain Try the steps for removing the ATI driver as outlined by tbruff13 above or on this web page: http://www.upubuntu.com/2011/11/how-to-install-amd-catalyst-1111.html You shouldn't need to re-install the whole OS just to remove a driver. Hope that helps? Ok i tried it and it failed miserably...
