Re: What is cmd to have Firefox open maximized?

Yes, I'm at the point of uninstalling it and reinstalling it. It's a shame there is no command to put into the Properties window to open it maximized every time like there is in Windows.

Re: What is cmd to have Firefox open maximized?

Putting Firefox in the startup didn't work for me, it still opens with the small window.
I also tried turning off the non-tracking in Firefox as it was listed as starting the smaller window so it wouldn't give out the fingerprint.
That didn't work either.

Re: good VPN?

I use PIA (Private Internet Access) It has many servers across the world, they don't log anything so your privacy is maintained. The server speeds are fast, so it doesn't slow down your connection like some VPN's do. When you buy a subscription, you can use it on 5 devices all at the same time. The ...

Turns out I had a PCI slot that was not working properly, changed to a different PCI slot and it works fine now.

[SOLVED]System sees card but won't use

Qualcomm Atheros AR922x is the PCI card, which can be seen with lspci and other commands but it won't show in the network manager to use. I'm using a USB wireless to post this. I do see that it says *-network UNCLAIMED System: Dell XPS-410 64bit 18.1 Cinnamon Wireless adapter D-Link DWA-542 pci card...

How to show Windows 10 in Grub not Windows 7

I have Windows 10 on a separate internal drive that had been updated from Windows 7.
It still shows Windows 7 loader in Grub. How do I get it to show Windows 10?
Updating Grub had no effect on it.

Re: Gparted not working with Cinn, 17.3 64bit

This was what worked for me and now Gparted and System Monitor work fine.

I deleted LD_LIBRARY_PATH.conf file in /etc/ld.so.conf.d

and then executed the command $ sudo ldconfig"

Re: Gparted not working with Cinn, 17.3 64bit

It seems as though it was caused when I installed VMware Workstation 12.1 Pro.
I had problems with VMware Workstation 11, so I got the new 12.1 and it worked fine. I hadn't attempted to use Gparted until now.

Re: Gparted not working with Cinn, 17.3 64bit

I think I have found the cause and the solution for this.
It is VMware workstation that had created a file that cause problems.

Re: Gparted not working with Cinn, 17.3 64bit

It asks for the password to start it, but the program does not start. Cursor icon spins for a bit then stops, program never starts.
The same thing happens with System Monitor.

Re: Gparted not working with Cinn, 17.3 64bit

I don't use it for doing things to the Mint drive. I have 4-1TB drives and a 250GB SSD I run Windows on, as well as external drives I use it on. I'm wondering if the current stable version of Gparted will run with 17.3 Cinnamon when installed. The one in the Mint/Ubuntu repos is very old. I'm wonder...
