Re: [Solved] grub2-theme-mint grub2-theme-mint-2k not working
Did another Mint install and instead of doing the Mint grub it by terminal like I always have, I used the software center and it worked.

Re: grub2-theme-mint grub2-theme-mint-2k not working
And since this is a 27 inch 4K screen that grub menu is tiny, and my old eyes aren't so good.
I've removed them and reinstalled, but still no good.

[Solved] grub2-theme-mint grub2-theme-mint-2k not working
Installed them, sudo apt-get install grub2-theme-mint grub2-theme-mint-2k And did a sudo update-grub But it's still just a black grub screen, anybody have a clue why it decided to go belly up? Re: Fresh install blank screen after Linux mint logo
Look in the BIOS for what it uses initially, if you have a video card you can set it to that, or use the "Auto" and let it figure out what you're using. I have a video card, but I still have it set to "Auto", which would switch to the built in video if there is a problem going on...

Re: Selecting Kernel Issues (stuck on 6.1.0-18 even though I want 6.5)
@Nuts2u: Thanks for stopping by . . . I did do that, syanaptic included the "dependency" for the 6.5 . . . but, apparently did not upgrade the "meta" package . . . . I've had that Meta issue with my plain jane Debian installs . . . . So following the advice to install that packa...

Re: Selecting Kernel Issues (stuck on 6.1.0-18 even though I want 6.5)

Re: HMDI TV monitor no longer found - LMDE 6
Here you go: majpooper@tacoma:~$ ls /sys/class/drm/ card0 card0-DP-1 card0-DP-2 card0-DVI-I-1 renderD128 version I looked at the back - and the HDMI cable is going into and adapter which I can't remove which seems strange. So now I wonder if the HDMI is being converted to something else or if it's ...

Re: Grub lost W10 in LMDE
Run sudo update-grub See what happens if it shows it again. Which OS is controlling the GRUB? Did you install Mint 21.3 or LMDE 6? Also look in the BIOS/UEFI and see what is set to boot first, you may have both ubuntu and debian showing, if you are running the LMDE 6 have the debian entry as first, ...

You should have used a current version of Rufus instead of the one that caused problems. Rufus is at version 4.4

Re: WiFi not working even after full reinstall
After install did you go to the driver manager and install the wireless driver? It will be there since it was working with the Live USB.

Re: "Input Not Supported" While Trying To Install LMDE 6
Looking at your monitor it has an HDMI port and a VGA port, for that card you have, get a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter and use an HDMI cable and you will have a good digital picture and stop trying to go from the Digital to Analog. Go Digital to Digital, much better. I have this one and it works grea...

Re: "Input Not Supported" While Trying To Install LMDE 6
I'm assuming you're using a VGA cable right? I had this problem years ago and I had to use an "Active" adapter on an Sapphire AMD video card. What type and size monitor are you using? I'll look at the nVidia Geforce 730 2 GB and see what's up with that, I have one of those in a box somewhe...
