Re: Linux Mint Debian Edition 3

Of course, that will be all nice if You do not need FDE (full disk encription) because Debian/Devuan have long time trouble with that: Link Link Link(devuan) So, I suppose that is reason why Clem said : "The LMDE 3 installer will not get support for disk or home directory encryption." To get long st...

Re: Great that we are back

Price of popularity Maybe that  hack that happened is the price of popularity of Linux Mint. I hope no Linux Distro will ever gain Window$ popularity; because that will attract evil predatory cloud. So, Clem must do something to decrease popularity of Mint  I don't want start flame wa...

Re: Network transfer stalls when I select multiple files

Same problem here. Installed Mint 15 Cinnamon x64 cause I taught this "copying multiple files from network storage drive freezing" will not impact it. But, I was wrong. And especialy this is very annoying: The progress bar window remains ope...

Re: Have you upgraded to Mate 1.4? Have you had any problem

I just installed a new copy of Mint 13 Mate, updated, and then installed (upgraded) Mate to 1.4 following instructions from second post. So far no problems. BTW, I changed repo from sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://packages.mate-desktop.org/repo/ubuntu precise main" to sudo add-apt-repository "de...

Re: Very small nautilus and Mint issue

(I'm back in gnome classic) I opened System Monitor , and noticed there is process: <nautilus - Sleeping - 0 - 0 1767 - 5.0 MiB poll_schedule_timeout> When I END or KILL that proces, and go to (for example) >Places>Documents, nautilus now opens it normal without 20 seconds busy cursor. However, look...

Re: Very small nautilus and Mint issue

I have that issue too, and I didn't know for that "trick" with logout - logon (thanx for that). ( Actually, busy cursor is gone, but on the bottom panel there appear additional folder icon named < opening "name-of-folder-that-is-opening" >, and that last for about 15 - 20 sec. ) Also, I have partiti...

Hello, After using ubuntu for several years, as an distribution with best driver and community support, recently I started to look for other distributions . The main reason is unity and gnome 3. I don't have any good word for them, and I don't won't to spam forum with that. Yesterday I downloaded LM...
