Re: [Solved] Crashplan Crashing in Petra Cinnamon RC

Nah, it's not mooching at all. How else is one to learn anyway? I think it's safe to say you have graduated from noob to intermediate.

Re: Crashplan Crashing in Petra Cinnamon RC

Same here...I get a similar message even with the Oracle JRE. I wonder if there is the same issue with Ubuntu Saucy? Anyhow, I also submitted a ticket to CP so we'll see what they say.

[Solved] Crashplan Crashing in Petra Cinnamon RC

Anybody else having this issue? Up until Petra, Crashplan has worked flawlessly. If I try to run CrashplanDesktop the splash screen appears for a about 2 seconds and then vanishes. I've tried starting it from the shell as well but no messages. Weird.

Re: What are your top tips for a Newbie?

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Based on my own experience, here are some things that stand out: You will most likely break your system at least once but that's OK as long as you keep your stuff backed up. It's part of the learning process. Don't be afraid to jump on the forums, IRC, ...

Try putting

Code: Select all

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:banshee-team/ppa
in terminal and then update/upgrade.

Banshee 2.6

I'm trying to install Banshee 2.6 as it now has massstorage support for my Nexus Galaxy. However, after adding the Banshee Team PPA to my software sources, I can't seem to get it to upgrade...it just stays at 2.4. Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Linux Mint 12 "Lisa" released!

Working great for me on an Asus G73JW. The only issue I'm running into at the moment is my volume keys don't work. I see the volume level meter pop up but the actual sound is not affected. Anybody else running into this? Edit: I think I figured it out. The default playback device was "GF106 High Def...
