well, I pplan on living longer than 10 years. I was actuakky planing in getting another computer in 10 years. But the 5 year advuce us acceptable. I liked the thinkcentre idiea. I just need to know which thinkcentre was being spoken of.

There is about to be a bazillion Lenovo Thinkcentre workstations hitting the used market due to incompatibility with Windows 11. A significant percentage of them are only 3 years old. Thanks for letting me know about them! What I'll do is purchase the same number of thinkcentres to max out the ram....

I want a guy I know to build me a computer. I'm now 52 and I plan on this being the last computer.at least a 10 year life. What specs should I put in it?

okay. I installed via flatpak. it is better in the sense that in 4.2 things would get blurry when I imported an image. Now the image retains it's sharpness. however, the brightness slider is gone!

How did you update and how did it fail? Was there an error message? If so, what did it say?
I opened the update manager then to file(?) then to update to lm 21.1 .
Didn’t see an error (i think). It just said that the upgrade failed.
