Synology & #recycle folder issue

Hi - I've got an issue with my Synology NAS-Box DS118 & the #recycle folder (on the NAS) - when I hit delete, or recycle it says "unable to find or create rubbish rin directory for /media/file location ... funny enough I can drag a file/folder into the #recycle folder I think it's a permissions thin...

Re: how to adjust icon text length - before it wraps to 2nd line

OK ... so think we're going off topic a bit here ... my original post was related to the number of characters (12) on a line underneath an icon, before it wrapped. so the dconf-editor that I mentioned and the options ... don't change the size of the icon ... but it does change whether or not the tex...

Re: how to adjust icon text length - before it wraps to 2nd line

not sure about that ... ? maybe this can cast some light on the subject ... If I use dconf-editor and navigate to org/nemo/desktop ... there is an option : use-desktop-grid if that option = on : the text doesn't wrap = off : the text wraps at 13 characters the problem is, if I leave it on, it's impo...

Re: not align icons to the grid in lm19.1s cinamon?

Hi ... yep, I noted the same thing in the comments when 19.1 was released .... =>that there wasn't an option in the new setup that gave you the option to NOT align the icons to the grid I'm hoping that there will be a modification of the setup in 19.1 to actually allow for this. ... at the moment it...

Re: 18.3 Cinnamon 64bit nemo moves icons bug

Yep, just want to confirm that I'm having the same issues ... it happens with the Computer, Home & Network icons ... they move to the right, by an icon space ... all the other icons underneath them, remain where they are. It's happening on both of my desktop machines, different resolutions, and one ...

Re: Save Updates to USB - to install on other machine

evince has just updated ... and it's not there. however, think I may have the answer ... I've just been looking at preferences in Synaptic Packager Mgr, and under the files tab ... it was set to "delete downloaded packages after installation" ! ... now I haven't changed that, so might have happened ...

HI

I haven't used bleachbit, and haven't run the apt-get clean command

(also had some updates in today, and they aren't there either ... :?

Re: Save Updates to USB - to install on other machine

Hi ... sorry no, not that one. it's the actual Linux updates that I want to save ... so that when installing Linux on my client's machine, instead of having to download the updates everytime, I can put in a USB drive and install them from there. I seem to remember that it was possible via the Synapt...

Save Updates to USB - to install on other machine

Hi

I seem to recall that it is possible to save the updates on one machine onto a USB drive

and then install it onto another machine, after installation, via synaptic manager ...

think that's right - but unable to find/recall where the updates are being stored

thx in advance.

Re: Radeon HD5450 / Cinnamon 18.1 64bit - screen resolution

Hi roblm think you're right about my particular Radeon Card ... it's a Sapphire, and I'm wondering if the HDMI connection I'm on is actually the highest resolution it supports. So, I'll have a look at getting something that supports a higher resolution on HDMI. I'm currently looking at 2 cards ... d...
