Re: Linux Mint 5 Elyssa officially released!

Wonderful! I will be using Elyssa full time now. But still, some problems with flash remained. Some flash pages don't open. Here how I fixed it: Uninstalled flash10 via synaptic, downloaded the last flash version from the Adobe official site and installed (/usr/lib/firefox-3.0, I guess). Everything ...

Re: Linux Mint 5 Elyssa RC2 (BETA 048) is out!

3. If I install Firefox 2 alongside Firefox 3, I'm unable to install add-ons for Firefox 2. I've been having problems with Java in Firefox 3, and if I could use Java in Firefox 2 it might fix the problem. I can install Firefox 2, but I also cannot install add-ons for it. (I wasn't using it alongsid...

Re: Linux Mint 5 Elyssa RC2 (BETA 048) is out!

A problem with mintMenu, I guess. I just installed wine and after I installed a Windows program. The submenu from the menu "Wine", though, called "programs", is not shown. In the normal menu, however, it appears normally. How I can put the submenu in the mintmenu? Cheers! EDIT: Sorry to bother guys....

Re: Linux Mint 5 Elyssa RC2 (BETA 048) is out!

Well, almost everything seems fine to me. But almost, because: - It still doesn't automount my NTFS partitions in boot. Oh boy. - I can't open my USB pendrives. It says "Invalid mount option when attempting to mount the volume 'nameofvolume'." Anyone with the same problem? I will continue looking fo...

Re: Linux Mint 5 Elyssa - BETA 032 is out!

Until now, overall usability ok. Two problems so far, however: - Elyssa didn't auto-mounted my NTFS partitions during boot. I had to manually mount it or edit fstab by myself. For me it's ok, but auto-mount the NTSF partitions for the new user could be a nice idea, since there is some users - like m...

Re: Linux Mint 5 Elyssa - BETA 032 is out!

Hi everyone! I installed Elyssa last night and since then I'm testing everything that I can. The stability is good, I'm running for 8 hours and until now, everything ok. It's fast - better than Hardy, IMHO - and beautiful. I liked the Carbon theme, btw. Here is what I could feel from Elyssa until no...

Program to sync folders to an external usb hd

Hi everyone! I'm new in linux world, and I'm moving from Windows. Until now, I found many alternatives in linux to certain windows applications, but I couldn't find yet a good sync-folder program in linux. :( I have many works in my hd that I have to backup often. I have an external usb hd and used,...

Well, it seems that there are two brazilian portuguese translations. I prefer the second one, it looks more professional. I would change, however, some few itens.
