Re: Matching Cinnamon theme to windows theme

What you need to find is a Gtk3 and Metacity theme that matches and apply both Thanks, but that still requires the user to work through hundreds of themes of two kinds, trying to find ones that match. Should be able to find a single theme you like and apply it, with effect on both the Cinnamon desk...

Re: Matching Cinnamon theme to windows theme

Read the comments here as it should help http://askubuntu.com/questions/121387/h ... on-desktop Thanks, that is a useful post, but it doesn't address the issue of which (if any) Cinnamon themes are matched with GTK windows themes. It would be better if the Cinnamon themes were translated directly t...

Matching Cinnamon theme to windows theme

I'm trying to match up my Cinnamon theme (currently Ambiance Mint) with my windows theme (currently Mint-X-Metal Dark), and I think they look good together but not sure if they actually match (in terms of colour and design). This may seem like a trivial point, but it is frustrating that the Cinnamon...

Re: Black Title bars in Cinnamon

I had this problem for a short time after installing LM 13 Cinnamon. It disappeared after the system had done a few updates, and I'd installed the NVIDIA driver (not sure which of these fixed the problem). I guess running an update/upgrade might work?

Re: Touchpad stops working in Mint 12

My touchpad freezes (apparently randomly) on my Dell Inspiron 9400, running Linux Mint 12.
Have to logout and login again to reset.
No issues on previous Ubuntu 10.04 installation.
No indication of incorrect settings on gpointing-device-settings

Re: Screen brightness strange behaviour Dell Inspiron 9400

It seems strange that Ubuntu 10.04 worked fine, but Mint 12 doesn't. Are there no configuration files that can be altered? I don't know how the system works, but I imagine there is some kind of conversion of the screen brightness value into the voltage supplied to the backlight, and it is the conver...

Screen brightness strange behaviour Dell Inspiron 9400

I have just installed Linux Mint 12 32-bit on my Dell Inspiron 9400 (a.k.a. E1705), and have problems with screen brightness. Specifically, the screen brightness slider value (from low to high) does not map to the actual screen brightness. There appear to be 21 levels of brightness available on the ...

Re: problems with Linux Mint 11 Gnome 32 [SOLVED]

The same problem occurs in Mint 11 64 bit.
The temporary solution is to run "killall -1 gnome-panel" and the panel is rebuilt, but sometimes the error pops up and you have to "killall" again.
I don't know why this thread has been marked as [SOLVED] because the problem clearly persists.
