And why did you prefix "[Solved]" to your thread title although Anki does not start? :?

Re: Firefox 69 32-bit crashes sporadically, Firefox 64-bit does not so far

The Mint repos offer Firefox 69.0.3:
+ Mint 19.2: http://packages.linuxmint.com/list.php?release=Tina
+ Mint 18.3: http://packages.linuxmint.com/list.php?release=Sylvia
+ (too lazy to post the links for all 18.x and 19.x repos. )

Ubuntu till Sunday had remained on Firefox 69.0.2 though.

Re: How to Install "Pale Moon Browser" ?

Hi, Jon. Correct, 18.04. In the software sources list file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/home:stevenpusser.list, the line deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/stevenpusser/xUbuntu_18.10/ / should read deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/stevenpusser/xUbuntu_18.04/ / You can ...

Re: How to Install "Pale Moon Browser" ?

Hello, Jon. Please, let us know 2 details: Which Linux Mint version are you using? Which one of the Steve Pusser Repos for Pale Moon precisely did you add to your system? In order to answer both questions in one go, it should be sufficient to execute the terminal command inxi -Sr (capital S, lowerca...

Re: Firefox 69 32-bit crashes sporadically, Firefox 64-bit does not so far

Hi, folks. Running the risk of actually being talking to myself only, let me give the current state here on my systems, after Firefox 69.0.3 has been deployed through the software repositories. Preface / Reprise: Up to and including Firefox 68.0.2, Firefox had worked in a reliable and stable way. Th...

Re: Random freezes

Agree with Pjotr's advice. The first thought which occurred to me when reading Bios: American Megatrends v: F.29 date: 04/03/2018 in your inxi report, was that the machine is much newer than the operating system, which you have installed. This is never a good situation, because the older operating ...

Re: How to create a bootable usb drive in linux mint?

The end product of USB image writer isn't working What precisely does this mean? Could you please explain in more detail? USB image writer itself does not work? It dos not start? It fails to create a bootable Linux Mint USB pendrive? Or the bootable Linux Mint USB pendrive, created with USB image w...

Mint-X Theme here on Mint 19.2 xfce: black borders, not red. Is this what you expected? https://abload.de/img/lm19.2_xfce_mintx_theobkj9.png By the way, some application windows will have no borders, e.g. gnome-system-log, gnome-calculator, very likely a few more. https://abload.de/img/lm19.2_xfce_m...

Re: slow boot in LM 19.2

Hello, muffybean. To be honest, nothing which you posted ("systemd-analyze blame", "inxi" report, available filesystem space), spells any real problem. Yet, spotting the AMD graphics card, which makes Mint use the ati, radeon driver, specifically the radeon driver, makes me suspect that you experien...

Re: gzip: stdout: no space left on the device

Hi, Larry78723. I am currently running my OS here from a 128 GB microSD card. ID-1: /dev/mmcblk0 model: AGICF size: 119.08 GiB There are also 256 GB microSD cards (net capacity might be roughly 245 GB). There are USB pendrives having 128 GB, there are also USB pendrive having 256 GB. There are even ...

Re: Code Display (</>)

According to my irrelevant point of view, this [</>] icon is one of the most unintuitive icons around, because it does not hold the slightest hint that clicking [</>] will insert code tags

. On the one hand. On the other hand, in some far away past, the forum editor icon bar used to ...

Hi, larrypoynor. This error message already explains the root cause gzip: stdout: no space left on the device This means, + if /boot is on a separate filesystem then it is full. Re: Compton and Mint Themes

Hi, venco.

I use the combination of xfwm4 + compton on a few Linux Mint xfce systems as well, Linux Mint xfce 18.1 + 19.1 + 19.2. But I have not noted any red borders.
It would be helpful, if you could post the terminal output which the commandline inxi -Fxz generates.

Best regards,
Karl

Hi, TheMechanic. In the situation where on shutdown the Linux Mint logo screen does not go away for a long time or never ever, in this situation you have ever pressed the ESC button? Pressing the ESC button should stop the logo display. Instead you would be able to read all the messages, which are d...

Hi, rohitkav123. Right, it might be as simple as explained by xenopeek in the thread to which you linked, https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=122332 .
