Re: How-To-Install [NETFLIX]

Telling from the Compholio Launchpad PPA webpage, the most recent Ubuntu version, for which a netflix-desktop package is available, is Ubuntu 15.04.
So maybe this PPA has reached the end of its life?

Re: Update Manager: Kernel updates - security updates or new features only?

Hi, Foster.

Kernel Updates, which also fix security issues, will be presented by the Update Manager with a red excalamation mark next to their names. Also you can check by reading the changelog for an update in the lower pane of Update Manager.

Re: Linux Mint does not recognise wireless

As I understand the Asus webpage, here , you have to press <F2>, keep it pressed while you press the power button to switch on the machine. You have to keep <F2> pressed till the Bios screen appears. At least this is what the Asus FAQ tells. In case this does not work on your notebook, hm, then I do...

Re: Linux Mint does not recognise wireless

Hello, irenee_eee. The Bios is totally independent of the operating system, which you use. You do not enter the Bios from Mint. You will have to press <F2>, if <F2> is the function key to enter the Bios, right after powering on. The timespan during which pressing <F2> will take you to the Bios may b...

Re: Linux Mint does not recognise wireless

Hello, irene_eee. Although it is hard to read the inxi report, hacked into pieces, I dare say that inxi does not display anything about any wifi interface at all. It is as if your machine does not have one. Network: Card: Qualcom Atheros AR8161 Gigabit Ethernet driver: alx port: e000 bus-ID: 03:00.0...

Hello, irene_eee.

The output which inxi displays inside the terminal window is pure text. Mark it and paste it into your next reply.

Hello, leemartin.

Outlook is a Microsoft product and meant to be run on Windows 7 or 10. So why do you report your Outlook crash in the "Software & Applications" section of the Linux Mint forum?

<moderator on> Split off from this thread: Solve boot problems with AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards . So a dedicated thread seems to be more appropriate to analyze the root causes and hopefully sol...
