ok well i guess i should say that i got the foo2qpdl driver installed and seems to be working fine w/color and b/w also this was my first sucessfull use of termnal without someone standing over me helping out YAY!!! ok but i thought i shouldlet you know. thanks Husse :mrgreen:

I also should say that i was trying to install the splix driver. although i have that and the foo2qpdl downloaded just the latter seemed to have less functionality and a little more involved installation as im not to comfortable using the termnal.

thx for responding i do have build essentials installed. when i tried to install the rpm at the link you left me i had an error with it saying that sh could not be found a friend showed how to look for it in /bin and it's there but as a shortcut pointing to dash not sure if this is the problem or no...
