Re: Cinnamon's memory usage

This is also present in LMDE with Cinnamon 1.6. Ran Mint 13 Cinnamon in a live session for a couple of days and did not have the problem with Cinnamon 1.4. Sorry to hear this is still an issue with Mint 15. Was hoping the problem was fixed with 1.8.

Re: Update pack 6 chat/questions/support thread

Only had 1 issue going from UP5 to UP6 concerning "mountnfs" see link below. The delay at boot up went away, but i still had to modify /etc/network/if-up.d/mountnfs. Is this something that will be addressed in the re-spin? Also, congratulations to the LMDE team. I ran the original release ...

Re: How to fix Linux Mint 12 KDE issues

Looks like the problem was a lack of familiarity with KDE. I have the most recent kernel. I had selected "Suspend Session", set the time, but not the "Suspend" method. The box for that was grayed out with no description. Clicked that box, selected "Sleep". All good now....

Re: How to fix Linux Mint 12 KDE issues

Mads,

Have you had any issues with power management? The screen settings seem to work fine, but i can't get suspend/hibernate to work.
Setup is stock Mint 12 KDE 64-bit, on an Intel 945 board with a 3 GHZ chip and 2 GB of ram. Power management worked normally when Gnome 3 was running on this box.

Correct the ability to re-size the main panel when the layout is flipped and the main panel is on the bottom. The panel at 25 pixels is way too small on larger monitors at HD resolutions. Altering scripts to increase the height of the panel and icons is only effective when the main panel is at the t...

Re: Changing Cinnamon Pannel

Found the following in /usr/share/cinnamon/js/ui/panel.js, but altering these values made no visible changes.
const PANEL_ICON_SIZE = 24;
const PANEL_ICON_DEFAULT_SIZE = 20
const PANEL_HEIGHT = 25
It must have something to do with the panel's position in the ui layout. Expanding from the top, down.

Re: Heavy development has started on a new Fluxbox edition.

Since Gnome 3 has crapped up building things on top of LMDE, will the next update pack do any damage to a Fluxbox setup running on top of LMDE Gnome 2 Pack 3? Other than a couple of GTK 2 themes set with Lxappearance, everthing else i have running is pretty DE agnostic. Libre Office, browsers, Thund...

Re: Changing Cinnamon Pannel

It appears that increasing the pixel size of the panel (in the .css file noted) causes it to expand downward. Is there another .css that allows you to raise the position of the Cinnamon panel, then increase it's size and icon size?
