Re: How to disable a user for login ?

OK. Thanks, I could remove libvirt-qemu from the login screen. What about a second user "openkm" with UID 1001 and GID 1001 ?
Should I use the same procedure? The login shell is set to /bin/false but the user still appears on the login screen.

Re: How to disable a user for login ?

For example there is a user "Libvirt Qemu". If I press the button "Delete" I get the alert: Are you sure you want to permanently delete libvirt-qemu and all the files associated with this user? I don't want to remove the user and his files. I only want to prevent the user from being selectable at th...

Re: Mounting timed out - after upgrade to Linux Mint 18.3

Hello, no answer so far. I would like to add the information that another internal disk drive (partition /dev/sdb1) will not be mounted even if the property "auto-mount at startup" is set. I have to mount it manually and it is mounted as /media/<my_user> which is probably not the recommended way to ...

Re: How to run a shell script from cinnamon menu

This was very helpful. With "hold" I could see the error (class not found) and the reason is now clear.
Thanks!

If I add the file name with full path as a menu item in cinnamon menu editor I cannot run it (option "Launch in terminal" is checked). Just a windows opens for a second a...

LC_TIME is set different for my user

Hello, Linuxmint 17.1 Cinnamon 2.4.8 I have set locale systemwide in /etc/default/locale and generated it using dpkg-reconfigure locales. Print to file missing

Hello, today I noticed a strange thing. Both my virtual PDF printer and the option "Print to File" were gone from the list of printers when I want to print a document into a file.
