Even easier.

Just run Software Manager from the main menu, and then type in

lxde

press enter

click the

Uninstall

button.

Using LM 17.1 64bit and alsamixer does not show me any unbalanced channels.

sudo alsamixer
press F6 to select sound device you want to adjust
press F5 to show all items
press B to balance all channels
press Escape to save settings

Did not work for me! :(

Go to advanced search
