Re: KDE+GNOME

Everything you need to install KDE on your system is available from the software manager as kde-full
it's about a 450 MB download.
I heard that it might break networking in one of the desktops, if you have Gnome 3 and install KDE 4.x
But I have not tried to run them together so I can't say for sure.

But found the Mint desktop to be what I was looking for.
Welcome to the forums.

The good news is that JavaScript is very easy to avoid! When you first run Firefox, go to Tools -> Add-ons, search for NoScript, and install it. With NoScript, these cross-platform JavaScript attacks will never be able to make it through to your browser. Yay! And for the browser specifically, the L...

Another refugee from the land of Ubuntu

Hi all: I have used Ubuntu for quite some time, and did some time in openSuse's RPM world. Well KDE never really did it for me. Gnome 3, we all know how that went! So the recent desktop mess left me looking at MS-Windows  I have known of Mint for some time so thought I would try it once more. ...
