Thus far I've not come across any articles about the implementation or the use of Trim within linux. So qu...

Possible Mint Menu bug?

I have noticed that the Mint Menu icon size is fixed at 2 here no matter what I set it at, 1, 2 or 3, I did have icon size set to 3 and it used to work. I do have the romeo and all the mint, ubuntu repos enabled and update everything up to level 3 using Mint update, so perhaps it's some other update...

Deluge 1.0

I tried to install the latest Deluge 1.0, which is a complete rewrite/new version, the install failed, downloaded the ubuntu Hardy 386 version. :( Using Elyssa, the main gnome version, just wanted to try it out and see what improvements have been made. So I'm wondering can it be installed or better ...

Re: Why does the download keep stopping?

This is why I always download via bittorrent, as this solves all these problems it doesn't matter if your connection stops for some reason, you still download from where you where at and at the same time you're uploading and sharing the mint goodness. So I'd suggest you try download the .iso via a b...

I'd say you need to run the ATI Driver/Catalyst controller with root privileges and adjust the screen resolution to make it stick.

Re: Evolution?

I think you will save less than 1 MB or maybe up to 50 or 60 MB, not sure. Installed software barely takes up any space in Linux. You would probably save more by running: sudo aptitude autoremove once in a while.. And About Me is integrated in GNOME, so basically this software is a part of the GNOM...

Re: Mint 5 Elyssa and Amarok

Did you end up getting your internet connection working in Elyssa? If so, Amarok is available in the repos, as mentioned earlier -- I added it the other day. (Like you, I wish that Amarok had been put in Elyssa by default, but the powers that be disagreed...) Looking at the fact that Amarok is 'bes...

Elyssa Menu > Control Center > Sessions

Click the Add+ icon in Sessions, search for the wanted startup application then add it.
