I think the blacklist one worked for my log-in, but nothing seems to make the LOGOUT beep go away..

Anyone have some ideas?

For what its worth I using the method I mentioned in my previous post, I managed to get JDownloader up & running just fine without having to tweak any Java settings.

You could just go to Synaptic and look for Chromium to install it that way.
Worked out okay for me.
