Re: Firefox 96 resizes itself after fullscreen/maximizing
Ultraviolet thanks for the reply. I was having the issue exactly as you described prior to FF96, the window would only shift its placement and the buttons would still function in their previous location. Grabbing the window and moving it around fixed it when it would happen. Since the update to 96 ...

Re: Firefox 96 resizes itself after fullscreen/maximizing
i'm also getting the same problem, but it should not be mistaken for a window re-size problem, hopefully my badly made screenshot will show that firefox thinks its still full-screen when its actually not https://i.imgur.com/ryojcQd.jpg https://i.imgur.com/PRBpJ1s.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ROTeMEz.jpg

Re: Mint 19 - Screensaver
So like I said above, why change to a more recent and supported screensaver We did. It the current Cinnamon lock screen. Things like xscreensaver no longer exist as far as I know. They are no longer needed with modern monitors and most people don't want them. They serve no purpose other than using ...

Re: Mint 19 - Screensaver
Excellent! Thanks for the info :-) Surely wouldn’t it be better to replace a program which isn’t working rather than remove parts of its key functionality To be fair, support for the ancient and unsupported xscreensavers is hardly key functionality. So like I said above, why change to a more recent...

Re: Mint 19 - Screensaver
If you know your way around the xscreensaver config file you can edit it directly. It's a hidden file in your home folder - ~/.xscreensaver If not then apt install xscreensaver , then run xscreensaver-demo . Click through the warnings about xscreensaver not being active and then amend settings as y...

Re: unable to burn an audio CD on Mint 18.2 [SOLVED]
Yeah it was the mint meta codecs; restarting my system didn't have the same effect as switching it off and on again, because this morning after turning it back on all is ok. WeirdnessRocky Bennett wrote:Good to hear!!! Persistence pays off.

Re: unable to burn a audio CD on Mint 18.2
I have converted audio files before, and burnt CD's , it's not just the burning wav files it's also the problem I have adding mp3's to k3b and converting them in that program before burning (so I don't have to use two programs)Rocky Bennett wrote:And you are 100% sure that your file meets the redbook standard?

Re: unable to burn a audio CD on Mint 18.2
Mint, as of Mint 18, no longer includes codecs when you install due to possible licensing issues. Some people thought that including them was a big selling point but I didn't ... not including them is more the norm. So what I'm getting at is you should open SYnaptic Package Manager and searching fo...
