Tkx for your replies guys. I tried @JeremyB suggestion but it had no effect. I decided to just replace my Intel® Wireless-N 7260 (only 2.4G wifi) for a more recent Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260, which will give me access to 5G wifi. Buh!!

After researching abit, it seems my wireless adapter (Intel Wireless-N 7260) doesn't support 5G

I was checking and yes, there is a 5G link available, with the same name as the 2.4G. it didnt work, adding an applet its a generic thing, I cant add it to a specific panel. I just add it, and then move it around wherever I want. Well, with this one I cant move it...
