Annoying typing issue

I was writing an e-mail to a friend of mine today and all of a sudden my keyboard started acting up and running wild on me. It kept behaving really odd throughout the entire e-mail as I wrote, it happens as I write this and it's extremely annoying! If I just press a single key once to type one godda...

Unstable Flash in Firefox

Flash mp3 players and video players (like YouTube and similar sites) works fine for the most part but very often, the players are replaced by a blank box and there's no sound. It makes me have to close down Firefox (and often save my browsing session) and re-open it for Flash to work properly again....

Re: No music when playing CD's

Thank you, it worked! Went into sound settings under "User settings" (I've got it set to Norwegian so I'm not sure if I used the correct name for it in English) and set a manual choice. I tried a random CD to test if it worked and it played the music on it! :D Thanks again, now I don't have to boot ...

Re: No music when playing CD's

No, didn't help. Still without sound when trying to play off CD's. Very mysterious and extremely frustrating. Sometimes when putting in a CD the computer just makes a random noise and no music applications starting up at all.

Any more ideas on what could cause this?

Re: Linux Mint Studio

A Studio edition of Linux Mint sounds really cool, I'd definitely try it out! Thought about trying Ubuntu Studio for a while but haven't really done so (has a little to do with the hassles I ran into using regular Ubuntu) but if Linux Mint gets a Studio version, definitely count me in as being one t...

No music when playing CD's solved

I have Banshee, Gnome Music Player Client and Rhythmbox but none of those will play CD's anymore for some reason. I can play mp3's just fine but I was gonna listen to a new album I just bought recently, inserted the CD and Rhythmbox automatically popped up starting to play it. It showed that it was ...

Re: Get Compiz Fusion with Sphere in Gnome, KDE, & XFCE

Thanks for posting this! It works like a charm and I love both the sphere and cylinder, they look really awesome! I've tried to get these by reading tutorials on the net but I found them to be extremely confusing and complicated. But the link we are given here is really easy and with no stress at al...

Nevermind, the problem is solved! Synaptics works again so the moderator can close this thread. :)

Synaptics won't open

Hi everyone, I'm a new member and I've only used Linux Mint for three weeks, before that I used Ubuntu but made the switch to Mint because it seemed a bit easier for me. I really enjoy Mint so far but the past few days I've ran into a problem with Synaptics. When I open it, I get this message: E: dp...
