Re: [SOLVED] 18.2 installer crashing

One of the RAM sticks was faulty. Mint 18.2 works like charm with the healthy one - now I just have to wait the store to test the faulty one and decide am I going to get replacement. Would be surprised if not.

Re: 18.2 installer crashing

Now I have even tried with 18.3 beta. Crashes at exactly same point - where the name, computer name and password is written.

Re: 18.2 installer crashing

Isn’t there an issue with the kernel not supporting Ryzen under 18.2? Don't quote me but I'm sure I've read that here. Try installing 18.3 Beta, comes with Kernel: 4.10.0-38. I've been running it fine under intel since yesterday. Thing is I had 18.2 installed on this and with kernel 4.10.0-38 but i...

Re: 18.2 installer crashing

Thanks for replying. BIOS is the newest 1201, and I have used 2 USB sticks and moved around the USB ports which BTW in my board lacks the 2.0 ones  - or there isn't any black ones but they can't put blue on 2.0 port right? SSD has GPT table with necessary partitions according to this site: htt...

[SOLVED] 18.2 installer crashing

Never had this kind of trouble before with Mint. Could it be Ryzens fault - is AMD still that bad? Anyhow after I gone through partitioning on installing and start writing my name etc it crashes claiming that I should be using lower speed when I'm burning the DVD. It's an USB stick actually - can't ...

Re: Jumpy mouse wheel scrolling on Mint 18.1 web browsers

Solved, mouse wheel was dusty. I didn't see any hair or dirt but opening and removing the area where wheel was (removing it first) almost eliminated this problem. But just almost so it will be a new mouse soon.

Re: Jumpy mouse wheel scrolling on Mint 18.1 web browsers

Same behavior in live Mint 18.1 Cinnamon. Original mouse was Logitech MK700/MK710 combo - keyboard is still working. Todays mouse is Plexgear LE400 which worked ok from the beginning. As it's worst the mouse can scroll tabs and even close a window by itself depending on where the mouse pointer lies....

SOLVED - Jumpy mouse wheel scrolling on Mint 18.1 web browsers

Firefox, Chromium and Chrome are having problems with mouse wheel scrolling. Pages jump up and down and doesn't scroll on direction I'm moving the mouse wheel - mostly. No problems on LibreOffice Calc. I'm on my second RF mouse with this problem, both of them worked flawlessly about 4 months. Earlie...

Re: Asus P10S-M WS

Well ... no it doesn't. Really think I haven't tried that? Have you tried or is it your standard answer?

Only reviews I found at Amazon and bhphotovideo.com and they were a little bit worrying hence my question.

Re: Using two network cards with different DNS

Thanks, my intention wasn't to be secret - just lie about my location if I have to be honest.

Solution, wich isn't automatic as I wanted but works is just activating the NIC wich is needed for the moment. One for regular surfing and the other one for TVing around the world.

Using two network cards with different DNS

I have 2 NICs in motherboard and I would like to use them both with different browsers. I'd like to have different DNS-servers on these cards - the first one with OpenDNS for regular browsing and the other one with some kind of DNS unlocator service to get my hands on the stuff in my old home countr...

LUKS encryption not opening after reinstall

I've reinstalled everything - even /home partition and now I can't get access to my encrypted drives.
