Cannot Drag Icons From Menu To Desk-Top

I just recently installed Mint 12 Lisa on my quad boot system. I noticed that I cannot drag the icons over to my desk-top. Would this be an easy fix? I've been looking on the menu but cannot find anything.

Thanks for any help

Overuse Of the Quotes.

I've been looking at different topics that I'm researching. I've noticed the misuse of the quote function. Some use quotes from start to finish of the user being quoted. looks like this is taking up extra space. Just a thought. I'll Shut-up now. 8)

sudo: /etc/sudoers is mode 0755, should be 0440

Every time I started a program called XAMP it said "world writable opt/lampp/etc/my.cnf" but it worked great(I should have taken Husse advice "Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it." ) :( When I tried to set the permissions on that file using "s...

Shouldn't You Be Able To Boot With USB Thumbdrive Inserted?

When I'm booting up, right after the set-up screen it stops with the cursor blinking in upper left corner with thumbdrive inserted. If I wait & plug it in after "Grub Loading" It boots great & drive is recognized. If I boot into windows everything is OK. Well the windows part isn't...

What Are The Ins & Outs Of Updates?

When should you accept updates? Which 1's should you accept? I've noticed that it says "Couldn't be authenticated" might be a Malicious client or something of that nature. I had tried Elyssa last week & let it update once, then when that was through it said it had more. After those I c...

Re: Error Or Virus? Cannot Open Package Manager In Elyssa

The menus sorta fixed the problem but was still slow, like something was running in the background.

I partitioned the HD like piratesmack's tutorial and put Daryna back on. I'm back to speed now. If I do something wrong again I'll work on THAT partition.

Thanks alot Husse

I Lost My Wifes Mahjong

When I installed Mint I made the mistake of letting the wife play some games I installed from the package manager for her. She fell in love with Mahjong, which took alot of my computer time away :( .
