Yes developer options toggled on but after upgrade usb debugging is greyed out. There appear to be about 30 more dev options since upgrade. What use is it if theyre greyed out? I used to have that option available and turned on. Will keep trying.

In the past, starrred items in Synaptic used to mean upgradeable packages. Now however google search shows that they are new packages available in the repos. Right click menu doesnt show "upgrade" option. The packages with yellow star show "old version" and "new version"...
