Re: Linux Mint drops Ubuntu forever !!!!!!!!

If Cinnamon was good enough Linux Mint community wouldn't loose anybody. Have you ever used Windows 8 or Mac OSX? If you had such a powerful distro would you change it? Cinnamon will never be good enough for a lot of people, because people like different things. It doesn't matter whether they focus...

Re: Huge Traffic hits PRIVATE Search Engines After NSA Leaks

Re: Gaming on Linux Mint 15 through Steam, your experiences

I use Steam on Linux Mint all the time. I have almost 200 Steam games, but most don't have a Linux version, so I don't even mess with those on Linux Mint. While I have experienced a few issues, none were major and I was able to resolve them even as a total Linux noob. I think the future of Linux is ...

I have no way of knowing whether this guy will go through with his plans, or even if he has the know-how to, but how can one "do more" in an effective way without a roadmap? For all we know, he has already started some actual preliminary work on his project.

Of course it's easy to switch to a different email service. The thing is, I like the services that Google provides. If I were to dr...

Re: How To Uninstall McAfee Antivirus

There is now an official guide for uninstalling one of the most hated antivirus programs around. Nope - that honor goes to Norton AntiVirus. - that even has dedicated web sites, for info on removing that octopus. I didn't say "the most hated" I said "one of the most hated".:P I agree that Norton is...

Instead of running commands ...the ability to actually pick up for example, an image file ...drag it to a folder on the desktop ...and drop it into the folder. In my earlier experiments with Linux distros ...this is not possible. Can the distro mentioned above ...Operate like Windows 7, for example...

I don't use Facebook either (I deleted my account a while ago) but I think a Facebook group for Linux Mint is a good thing. It helps spread the word about our distro for one.

I think mint has given up on the other desktops other then Cinnamon and Mate. I Tried Enlightenement and it was decent, but not good looking like cinnamon in my eyses. I do wish that Clem would bring back KDE, XFCE, LXDE, and include Enlightenment. I also would like to see a version with Trinity. M...

I was expecting you guys to mention the content of the video, not the quality of McAfee.:P I've used McAfee before and it was a horrible experience. I only used it though because my dad installed it on his laptop. When I use Windows (I no longer do, but I probably will again one day for video games)...

forget about Prism. worry about what we DON'T know about. No. We should worry about both. How about the individual worrying about what they deem relevant and let others make up their own minds. Obviously people can worry about what they want. However, if you look at my post again, you will see it w...
