Theme suggestions
I was playing around with themes at a absurd hour and noticed some very annoying, what I call glitches. Every time I change the theme, the mouse changes to microscopic size and I have to keep finding/loosing it till I can enlarge it. This is very frustrating/annoying,to say the least. Why does this ha...

Agreed,as screensavers don't work for me in Mint or UbuntuMATE. Screen goes dark and that's it.

Re: Stable vs Rolling, another look
I got my 11? year old ThinkPad running Kubuntu 20.04 LTS backed up and made a live thumb drive of Endeavour and booted it up. Nice, I thought, but I'm not a fan of Xfce and seeing as I had nothing else to do, I installed the KDE version. Sigh... You could see Neofetch writing each line in Konsole! ...

I tried Manjaro and got two crashes in less than a year. I personally will never use any roiling release ever again.

Re: Not everybody has 20/20 vision
^ You leave that poor laptop alone, ... psychopath !!! :D Yeppers, probably half serious about doing something like that but also yeppers, you know it'd be stupid and totally unhelpful. The only two I bothered to look at, there are others ... were called Vinux and the other was Sonar gnu/linux. One...

Re: Not everybody has 20/20 vision
Maybe if you activate a pointer in that list (number 3 in my screenshot) you'll see the slider better. If nothing is activated ... it's kind of greyish and difficult to see. The numbers are not helping cause all I see are the themes,no slider,no mouse anything on my screen. . No way to activate a p...

Re: Not everybody has 20/20 vision
Not using Compiz cause it broke my window manager and I could not fix it,si I reinstalled yesterday. Ok, I'm using MintMATE. I went to mouse first, where the enlarger toggle should be,but is not. I then went to themes and there is no mouse options to the right on the themes page like what your screen...

Re: Not everybody has 20/20 vision
BenTrabetere n the 'Pointer size and speed' section. I am pretty sure Xfce and MATE have something similar. I am pretty sure the color of the mouse pointer is handled by the theme. I could not get Cinnamon to work properly on my Think Pad. I installed Mint MATE,and reinstalled today. I thought I wa...

Not everybody has 20/20 vision
To the developers: I just had to reinstall Mint. I am visually impaired. I just discovered the change mouse size is no longer an option. Change mouse color is no longer an option cause the developers seem to think everyone uses the dark theme. I can't do that cause of the above mentioned reason. Co...

Re: Anyone got any interesting hobbies?
I like to tend to my outdoor plants. I have a couple fig trees, several pecan trees, half a dozen grape vines, a pear tree, a bay tree, dozens of sweet potatoes and all of the squirrels and possum that go with them. I like to take digital photographs and read really old books too Where I used to li...

Re: Tea or Coffee?
Both. I brew a mixture to enjoy during the week of black and green tea,add stevia and store it in the fridge.
I drink coffee every morning with stevia, butter and heavy cream and sometimes chocolate. In the winter,I often add cinnamon for a change of pace.

Re: T470S lenovo laptop brightness/volume keys mint mate 20.1
Ah, I've just found and added the brightness applet.
It would be great to have the keyboard control the brightness as well, but this is saving my eyes.

T470S lenovo laptop brightness/volume keys mint mate 20.1
I have a lenovo T470s (usa keyboard) and have just installed mint mate 20.1 on it. The keyboard Fn F5 and F6 doesn't turn up and down the brightness. The keyboard Fn F2 and F3 doesn't turn up and down the volume. The laptop was bought second hand and had windows on it, this is the first linux distro...

Re: Birthday gift for me
I had to get rid of Mint since the coreboot did not like it at all. So far using Pop OS, I loathe it. Just a PITA to do anything, no menus, not happy at all with it. I want MInt back. A video was posted on Linux Internationals re POP and it looked dreadful. I'll say here what I said there after wat...
