Re: [SOLVED] Cannot Login (login loop)

Ran into a similar login loop. Turns out my 20GB virtual disk was 100% full.
The giveaway was when I tried to do an apt-get update.

I could log into the console, but not the desktop.
Cleaned the apt cache, and at least then could log into the desktop.

Re: Lost sound after last update (17.2 KDE)

I tried alsamixer, and everything looks normal there.
Tried speaker-test too, which produced noise as expected.

Still broken though....

Updated my Mint 17.2 KDE system on December 7th and since then, no sound. Looks like there were several gstreamer and pulseaudio updates which may be the culprit. So far I have tried the following without success (each followed by a reboot): sudo apt-get remove --purge alsa-base pulseaudio sudo apt-...

Re: Linux Mint 18 “Sarah” KDE – BETA Release

Coming from Mint 17.2 KDE (which I really loved), I have to admit the new KDE 5.x takes a little get used to. KDE 5 feels so different than KDE 4 and seems to have a subdued foggy gray look to everything. Guess I will try playing around with the themes a bit until I can find something I can live wit...
