Re: one-click mouse

Ah, but it's only hidden if you don't know where it is!

Don't forget to add "Solved" to the main subject line when your problem is fixed. (Just click the "Edit" button on your first post to do that).

Alll the best,
Kate!!

Re: one-click mouse

Hi there,

On the desktop open your Home folder icon.

Select Edit from top options, then Preferences, and under Behaviour you can select single click.

All the best,

Re: Sound Input Volume (microphone) resets to Lowest (near mute)

Hi there Timmi, Are you running Mint 8? If so, could the problem be due to PulseAudio? Here are some URLs that might help: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingSoundProblems/KarmicCaveats http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=205449 I can't guarantee that will solve your problem so you may like to wa...

Re: corrupt dpkg "available" file?

Thanks for those commands. When I visit my friend I'll try them and let you know the result (may be next week).

The second bit was because I thought I could access the available file with sudo gedit to see what the problem was.

possible to create swap partition after install?

I set up Linux Mint to dual boot on someone's PC but didn't set up a swap partition as I wasn't sure what they wanted to do with their XP system (that wouldn't load because of virus/trojan).
I can now set a swap partition up, but was wondering if I can do that without doing a re-install?

Re: Busy Box

I've got an Advent 4211 (clone of the MSI Wind) and the problem with Mint 5 is the Live CD is not able to handle the Realtek RTL8102E chip - should be fixed in Ubuntu 8.04.1, so hopefully Intrepid Ibex should work, and if Mint 6 is based on that we should be OK. By the way, does anyone know how I co...
