Cambiar color fuente cinnamon

Re: LMDE affects Windows 7: time and sound

The clock issue is a classic one. You will find the solution here

As far as the sound issue, I can't help you as I have not understood what your problem is (maybe my English is not good enough...)

Re: LMDE: Gnome3 + MATE (gnome-shell-extensions)

Several things: I use Gome shell in debian stable with firefox 21 and it works perfectly. Are you behind a proxy?. If you are not, you have several options: First: Make sure you have the plugin enabled (just write about:plugins in the navigation bar and press enter). If it is not, just upgrade gnome...

Re: Availability of Debian packages in LMDE

Interesting links. Thanks. What would happen if I pasted all current LMDE and Debian repos in the sources.list and let the package manager search? If you want to use Debian testing packages "safely"you need to change your sources properly. I advise you to read this [url=http://forums.linu...

Re: Gnome3 for the experienced (FUN Stuff!!!)

WARNING FOR EVERYONE!!!!! Gnome 3.10 packages are starting to be merged into Sid--Everyone use caution. The breakage begins! :D I always love the way sid users have fun breaking their computers... Anyway this is a thing Debian stable users (like me) really appretiate, so thanks. As you can see [url...

Re: LMDE Update Pack 7 - when?

I do think that Clem and company should reconsider what to do with LMDE. Now LMDE is not a rolling nor semi-rolling distro, is a frozen distro, more frozen than Debian Wheezy (where you can use backports to get recent versions of your packages). MOreover is quite an insecure distro (as it does not g...

Re: Necesito ayuda estoy desesperado

Re: Package mdm broken on update

Generally speaking, old debs are stored in /var/cache/apt/archives. But if you have run apt-get clean you might have deleted them. If that is your case, you have several options: Try to purge mdm and reinstall it again (I guess you have already tried this...) Edit your sources.list to point to Debia...

Have you tried and run sudo dpkg --configure -a in a terminal?

I've just installed the latest mdm in Debian Wheezy and it works perfectly.

Re: LMDE or Debian

Hello everyone, I'm currently using Ubuntu 13.04 but for numerous reasons I want to make the switch away from it. All in all, I'm not 100% liking my system right now and I'm ready to make a switch to something new, different, and slightly more challenging. My decision has come down to LMDE and Debi...

Re: LMDE package freshness

Thanks for your inputs. Finally yesterday evening I discovered the repos, I did a bunch of upgrades of packages from sid. I completely broke the system and now I can't even login. I guess I'll have to reinstall the OS. Debian sid users say that experimenting and breaking / repairing their system is...

Re: LMDE based on Wheezy. Is it possible?

Yoyu can have a LMDE based on Debian Wheezy until the next UP is released. Actually, LMDE is currently based on Debian Wheezy. If what you want is to get the (security) updates that the Debian Wheezy users get everytime they upgrade their system, the only thing you have to do is editting your source...

Re: Debian 7.0 inquiry

Hi, Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think you understand how Debian and LMDE works (I advise you to read the zerozero's LMDE FAQ , that thread is a bit outdated, but you will find it really helpful). Anyway i'll try to explain it to you. LMDE is based on Debian testing. For the last two years, Debian t...
