Re: questions on Installing Mint13 beside Win7, removing Min

The one Im currently using has 4 gigs. You dont need a swap partition but its totally up to you.

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SwapFaq has some great info regarding swap partitions

Edit: Added link for swap info

Re: questions on Installing Mint13 beside Win7, removing Min

There are countless sites with this info. Once you boot from the live cd, you can use the partition tool to delete any partitions you wish, and add the new ones. Re: How to start browser at start up after login?

One would have to find where to edit what apps start at startup to do so. It may be similar to the location in lm.

Re: How to start browser at start up after login?

Depending on which LM u use, looks like you can goto preferences/startup apps and add it to there. Im using LM 13 with cinnamon and it shows up in the preferences menu. In lm 12, looks like its in other. Im sure it depends which DE youre usign too

Re: Thunderbird Backup

Google is your friend. There isnt a backup feature in thunderbird that Ive seen, but you can copy your profile dir to somewhere, which has your email settings, etc in it. There is also at least one 3rd party utility that can do this too, if you prefer not to do it manually.

Re: win7

There are a few different options. You could dual boot win7 and mint, or install mint via a vm in windows, or vice versa.
