Re: When will Brave browser be added into repository?

Tried Brave and found it to fail the WebRTC leak test with/without VPN.

That's a show stopper for myself.

Hi Jeremy,

Just a thumbs up that it's working on the right hardware.

Been looking at this for a while now and this thread gave the push to do so.

Many Thanks

Re: "starting the service providing vpn connection failed"

I was going to try them out for free, but it still wants a credit card.

The one item I noticed was that the cert file is not in /etc/openvpn it's in /home/{user_name}/ directory.

Other than that the rest is straight forward.

What vpn provider are you using?

How did you set it up?

Please supply a link to the instructions used.

Re: Hi

Hi Will3turtle and Welcome.

Been Windows free for many years now.

Some people require the dual boot option or run Windows in a VM as they still need to run certain software.

Re: Help me out/double check my tor install?

I never used a PPA for Tor as you can update it from the Tor menu when loaded.

Just click on the "Onion" on the top left and press on "Check for Tor Browser updates" at the bottom of the menu.

Re: The Case of the Vanishing Free Hard Drive Space

Hi austin.texas ,

Should your line of code be like this?

Code: Select all

sudo du / -xhd1 --exclude={/run,/proc,/dev,/media,/mnt,/sys,/tmp}

without the ' at the end?

Thanks WharfRat and point taken.

Thanks Trytip, I do have the original hosts file backup. If the data dosn't come through or has 0 bytes the file is not written over. :)
