Application Autostart resetting to defaults after each reboot
Hi Guys, I've just noticed that the Application Autostart setting under Settings > Session and Startup keeps resetting to the installation defaults after a reboot, or shutdown-startup. Not sure when it happened, but it must've been after a recent update. I only realised when I noticed system reports...

Yes to both... It's not a deal-breaker, but it is annoying.billyswong wrote: ⤴Fri Jul 21, 2023 1:34 am 1. Have you run the terminal command and choose the cursor theme there?
2. Have you restarted the applications / relogined the user account / rebooted the computer?

Re: How to upgrade to Linux Mint 21.2
The issue I have (I'm in Australia) is that the upgrade process changes my Mirrors (in the update manager software sources) to ones in the US and UK, which are painfully slow.
Will the relevant upgrade packages be rolled-out to local mirrors as well?
Mike.

LM 21.1 - not all mouse pointers change
Seems to have a mildly annoying glitch... I changed the default 'cartoonish' Bibata mouse-pointer theme to the previous default DMZ (White) theme (WHY do you have to change default themes all the time?!?)... However, several of the mouse-pointers still switch to the awful Bibata theme, for example t...

Re: Linux Mint 21 “Vanessa” Cinnamon released!
I'd have to say, I heartily agree with this - a 'clean' version of LM with no apps installed, only the basic stuff like networking, desktop/UI would be great. I too spend an age uninstalling pretty much all of the apps after a fresh install. I maintain quite a few installation of LM and pretty much ...

Re: How to upgrade to Linux Mint 21
How do I perform the upgrade WITHOUT doing a system snapshot?
I don't use timeshift - running LM as a VM, so just create a backup of my .VDI file
Cheers,
Mike.

LM 21.0 xfce - Where the heck is Xplayer?
Hi Guys,
Just testing out 21.0 xfce. I've removed the usual crop of unneeded apps and am having a go at putting the ones I prefer.
However, I can't find Xplayer anywhere - not in synaptic.
Celluloid is nowhere near as good.
Anyone know where I can get Xplayer??
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Mint 21 install - No EFI System Partition was found - Fixed
I had the same error/warning message when performing a clean in stall of LM 20.1 xfce - following the usual procedure I have in the past.
Why is it displaying the message if it's irrelevant for a 'BIOS mode' install?
Cheers,
Mike.

Resizing the notification-area icons using gtk.css?
Hi Guys, Thanks to other members on this old thread (https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?p=2114725) I was able to successfully resize the mildly-annoyingly-large volume icon. I'd also like to be able to resize some of the others I have in the notification-area, namely the Network Manager and ...

Thanks for the response...! What does the plus-symbol "+" next to the 1920 x 1080 resolution signify? The + signifies what the system picks up as the native resolution of the screen. The * identifies the current resolution being used. Ah, that's good - at least it's recognising the native ...
