In your first post, the drive is ext4 format, in your next post, the drive appears as ntfs format.
If you are trying to solve a problem, keep all parameters the same, and change things one at a time to isolate.

Yes, images are a way to track email opening. If the user blocks image loading on email, you won't be able to track it.

If sending from Thunderbird, you could also try return receipts:

Thunderbird > Preferences > Account Settings > Return Receipts
