for those having this problem in Mint17 with cinnamon just right-click in the default sound applet in cinnamon >> configure >> uncheck "hide system tray icons for compatible players"

Hi, After switching from propietary nvidia drivers to free nouveau driver the problem has dissapeared. I have updated the bug report and found there is also an opened issue in cinnamon´s github: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linuxmint/+bug/1005545 https://github.com/linuxmint/Cinnamon/issues/698 regards

Many thanks, going to preferences >> cinnamon settings >> themes >> other settings >> icon theme and switch the default "mint-x" theme to "gnome-wise" theme now I see correct icons. I needed to logout and login again. The "mint-x-dark" icon theme is also nice :)

Hi all, I am using mint13 x86_64 with cinnamon and I am getting an strange problem. Most of the icons in my systray are ok but deluge and dropbox icons (both are blue) don´t show ok. I have just found a workaround which at least let me work. When I try to unlock the computer I have the main screen with a blue background and the second screen with black background. If I move my mouse cursor to the second screen and push ESC button I can see the password prompt and unlock the mach...

Hi, I am running ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 in one of my desktop systems and would like to upgrade to mint13 x86_64 cinnamon. First I would like to ask if it´s possible to upgrade from ubuntu10.04 to mint13 and if case that it is possible, which is the safer way to do it? Maybe I should replace sources.lis...
