Install Sound-Juicer or RipperX or Asunder (or all 3 and choose the one you prefer)
Set your output from the above program to your USB Stick and hit Rip.

Re: Black screen after login
It may be possible to repair your current system, but given your apparent knowledge of how Linux works, I believe your best and most likely only option is a full system re-install. After you have re-installed, do not, under any circumstances, copy over your old sources list. This list is from an old...

Re: Linux Mint 9 "Isadora" RC released!
I also dont understand why, or believe that the 'featured applications' in The new Software Manager should include "Default Installed" Applications. They're already installed ... 8 of them (that I counted) are installed by default. Those 8 Applications should probably be replaced with apps...

Re: Linux Mint 9 "Isadora" RC released!
Another Excellent release as expected.
I would like to suggest allowing Mint 8 and previous users to install/upgrade to the Mint 9 version of the Backup Tool, without having to upgrade the entire system. The new version would help alot.

Its a shame that the best Wallpaper at 99Designs didnt make the cut.

Its nothing Fancy or special ... Its just beautiful and easy on the eyes. Most of the other wallpapers you can only stare at for 10 seconds before your eyes start to bleed.

There are about 30 versions of that Dragon with all different logo's at gnome-look/DeviantArt. I used to think they were pretty sweet, but they grow old fast.

Zwopper, your current bar is awesome. The "Dewified" group you posted wayyy back in June 09 is still killer as well.
I need to add one .. but I cant decide what to put on it ..... "Fanatic" might work ..

Re: Marketing proposal: KDE to became the default DE for Mint 10
Like someone said above. The difference between Mint/KDE and Kubuntu is that Kubuntu is just thrown together and whatever works, works, and whatever doesnt .. oh well maybe they'll fix it for the next release. Mint on the other hand is thoroughly tested and refined. Granted not ALL bugs and glitches...

Re: 32-bit or 64-bit KDE first?
64 bit should be first without question.
What app compatibility? There are no 32/64 bit compatibility issues anymore.

Re: Helena KDE CE update
There are wayy too many replies to check if this has been mentioned already. It probably has, but I guess it cant hurt to make sure. I'm running the Mint 8 KDE RC1 in VBox right now. It is absolutely beautiful. As Mint always is. I just have a few 'issues' that dont seem to make sense to me *Gwenvie...

Re: Linux Mint 8 x64 RC1 Bug Thread
The Frostwire issue is common with ALL Linux Distros. You must go to your options and switch it to "Shutdown Immediately" instead of "Shutdown when Transfers are Complete". Its a Linux bug that has existed for several years, that hasnt been fixed yet.

Re: Linux Mint 8 x64 RC1 released!
Is there really any point in running 64 bit in a VM? Unless you have an ungodly amount of RAM (9 Gig Minimum) it kinda seems redundant. You cant use VM's to test for 32-64 bit incompatibilities, it just doesnt work.

Re: Why Mint
Mint has a file browser option "Open as Root" which gives you a folder view with privileges (and red background) - Ubuntu doesn't. "Very simple to achieve similar in Ubuntu and for the number of times you'll need it, there's little point cluttering up the right-click actions list imo...

Re: Linux Mint 8 "Helena" released!
Have Helena running in Virtualbox to play around with till the 64 bit version is released. Obviously I cant really rate it while using VBox, but so far so good. If I had one gripe it would be about the MintMenu. Dont get me wrong I LOVE the MintMenu setup. It is by far the best available menu system...

Re: Linux Mint 7 'Gloria' KDE released!
Comparing Kubuntu to Linux Mint KDE, is like comparing a Ford Ford Falcon to a Ford Mustang. They may be built on the same platform, but they are both extremely different systems. Kubuntu is like the little kid that gets ignored by his parents because they keep having more babies. Mint is more like ...

Re: It's not ready to replace Windows yet
I could not disagree with this 'rant' more. Linux is faster, easier to use, more stable, more customizable, uses less system resources, FREE, and is just better than Windows in every way except one. If you are a Die-Hard PC gamer that is the ONLY problem Linux has. And I believe that issue will be m...
