Re: Samsung UEFI Bricking

This is a very interesting topic as I too have recently bought myself a nice shiny new Samsung Laptop and was wandering where the progress may be? I have scoured the internet after reading horror story after horror story I am unsure of how to continue with this. I initially bought the laptop and sai...

Re: MDM HTML5 Themes

Sam here is one I started playing with today! Unfortunately it is being made within a web browser for now but it will get there soon! Just got to add some funky stuff to it! My only question would be what is the best way to have the users pop into it? I was going to stick them in a more "defaul...

Re: New MDM How to and snippets

Nothing is every easy! Theoretically using your javascript method should work, because it detects the size of the window it needs to fit and scales the canvas accordingly. This is confusing to say the least! Is there a reason you use canvas in the first place? It isnt something I use on a regular ba...

Re: New MDM How to and snippets

What I generally do is this:

Code: Select all

html,body{padding:0;}
body{height:100%;}
canvas{height:100%;width:100%;top:0;left:0;position:absolute;}

This (for anything web related) will guarantee that it is full screen and fluid so it will adapt to any screen size.

Re: Returning Mint User

Thanks :D

I have missed having something minty in my life :)

That sounds like a good idea actually! I have never tried anything like LMDE before so it could be kinda fun to dabble with something Debian! Will burn out a few live disks today!

Re: New MDM How to and snippets

Thought I would paste some code snippets for you too Sam! Here is how I do my full screen canvas: <head> <style type="text/css"> * {margin:0; padding:0;} html, body {width:100%; height:100%;} canvas {display:block;} </style> <script type="text/javascript" > (function() { var canv...

Returning Mint User

Hi guys & gals, I have been away from the minty world for about 6 months now and am going to be reinstalling Mint over the weekend! My only queries are which version do I go for! Has anyone got any advice? What are your bug bears with the ones you are using, what are the benefits of the one your...

Re: Wiki Design

The best wiki I have used (and I have used alot) was media wiki : http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki It is highly customisable and really easy to install! There are of course a few dependancies but they are the obvious ones (php and MySQL) but other than that it is good to go! Simple to use and...

Re: copy /home ubuntu to new Mint /home

This may seem like a really obvious answer (so i appologise) but why not just extract and apply your user rights to it? There should be no permission problems if you run the command as root? Unless of course your old home directory had root ownership >.< chown -R user:user * Sorry if this is somethi...

Re: MDM HTML5 Themes

I really like the look of this one! To be perfectly honest my mind is rushing full of ideas of what I could do! The only downside is that currently no desktop to work with :( Luckily as of saturday this should be resolved and I can start throwing as much into it as I can imagine! WATCH THIS SPACE! I...

My only query with this is that I hear you mention the <canvas> element alot. Is this needed or is it a personnal preference?
