Re: Fixing Checkgmail

OK, as apparently it's complicated to handle the transparency of the tray icons, here is what I did: Create 2 icons with gray background - let's say checkgmail-mail.png and checkgmail-nomail.png and place them in /usr/share/icons/Mint-X/apps/22/ Modify the preferences of checkgmail to use the custom...

Ok, we'll try to add support for proxies. Can you confirm it currently fails graciously and doesn't impact the system? Hello, For your information, not sure support has been added for proxies; but it fails graciously and doesn't impact the system. Output from command line: alexboss@alexboss ~ $ sud...

Re: Changing time zone

Don't want to bump such a topic but I really wanted to say thank you...
Clicking "Date and Time" settings on the clock in the taskbar couldn't help me to change the time (changes were always discarded) but this command time-admin really fixed the problem for me.
Cheers guys,

Re: [Solved] Installation problem with AMule

Hi Craig_Hubley ! I had the same problem after the latest LMDE upgrade (update pack 5) and the update of aMule to version 2.3.1-8. After having deleted the file statistics.dat (located in the folder .aMule your home folder) , amule works fine again ! Hope it will help you, Best regards, Alexandre 8)

Re: The startup application manager is nowhere to be found..

Thanks for this answer. Indeed, I also applied the Update 4 from gnome2 to gnome shell and for some reasons, the "Startup Applications" icon was not available in the applications list. But by launching the command everything is working fine now (even if still no icon / launcher in the appl...
