How do I disable access from guest login?

ive just struck this as well
Mint mate 19.1
Downloads folder ,at full screen unable to change name of folder (sub folders no problem)
If i drag the screen smaller then i can rename the folder
had a stab at this
chmod -R 777 /home/user/Downloads/
then killall caja
seems ok now
