I cant get root access but I will try using a flash drive. I have LM on a USB flash drive.
Maybe that will do it.

I was able to get into sudoers using pkexec but I haven;t any idea how to save the changes and close it when I edit it.
Would you know?

Oh I did use visudo.
I think the problem is because it now reads no passwd

Hi
Nothing happens with su or sudo

When I try visudo i get a message

sudo: >>> /etc/sudoers: syntax error near line 23 <<<
sudo: parse error in /etc/sudoers near line 23
sudo: no valid sudoers source found, qutting
sudo: unable toinitalize policy plugin

I installed LMDE about 4 days ago. I updated it at that time. No problems. Today I saw the update icon so I clicked on it. It said I needed 1292 updates for a total of 817mb. When I try to drag a file from my desktop to a folder it only copies instead of transferring to the folder.
I then have to delete the original. Is this normal for Xfce??
