ahhhh, indeed, I did leave light out. :) Bad Zone, I like light as well, works really good at work for me. :) I can understand your point, but I guess I don't see the confusion factor. I do think though, that Mint is perfect for the migration from Windoze to Linux. I have not enough praise to say ab...

I personally think the names are perfect for defining the versions. Say if you were directing a noob to a version. Point them by name, thats the purpose for them. ie: "download Cassandra" . there is only one plain Cassandra, the others are labeled, "KDE edition, XFCE edition" . Both of which, are co...

Re: Warsow

I think people should be left to aquire it themselves, instead of adding it. Linux is about having choice. You don't want it? Then don't install it. But everyone else could enjoy it if they want to. Most definitely, I agree Linux is all about choices. :) I misunderstood about what the "portal" was....

Zone, have you ever played this game? Better than Open Arena, which looks a very generic first person shooter with no originality. The whole point of the graphics was to look cartoonish, btw. Yes I have p[layed the game, many times. It's based off the Quake2 engine. The comments I made were persona...

Thats the same reasons I did the same. I love having the options, to tweak everything, and have it just how I want it. :)

I think that with Clem and co. staying with Gnome is the best decision, and letting KDE go to the community. That way, all the attention goes to the popular and highest voted desktop environment. He started with Gnome in his goals, and would love to see Clem stay with what he wants. Boo is doing a f...

oh god please nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
I have played Warsow, its extremely cartoonish, the graphics are so bad they are non existent, and the skins are terrible. They look like a child made them with a crayon. Open Arena, Quake 3, and many others are allot better than Warsow.

This little guy fell/jumped out of a nestbox in one of our trees. I managed to get him back on a branch where the adults continued to feed him.. http://hera.divshare.com/hera2/thumbs/2007/06/10/899498/899498-0cb_display.jpg Wow, very awesome, and the desktop you have as a reward is spectacular. :) ...

My responses to this subject, have been towards what I felt was the best solution, for all the Mint community as a whole. My vote for CD was based on the fact that almost every pc has a CDRom drive. Not every PC has a DVD drive, therefor, limiting the use of mint to DVD only removes the ability for ...

Clem, no need to justify your decision, you don't owe us a damn thing. We know you have the best interest of Mint in mind and we're behind you all the way.
100% agreed on this one. :) Thank you Clem, for all the hard work and effort. Your labor is greatly appreciated.

Why not offer both? Or, since more people currently have more cd burners than dvd burners, why not offer the OS on more than one cd...i.e., "To continue installation of Linux Mint 3.1, please insert disc two and hit any key to continue" :D Is that possible? :? :) It is able to be done, and this is ...

This amazes me, for a community that is for the masses. I don't see how voting down CD for DVD is at all benificial for everyone, when everyone DOES NOT have a DVD player. I don't see how limiting to only one option, (DVD), is at all beneficial to the community, when I basically isolates, and remove...

Let's not place demands on a development team as to when something should become available or what desktop should be featured; indeed, the only demands we should be placing upon the developers is the chance to test and enjoy the fruits of their labour. I agree big time, keeping in mind, that the de...

Wow, the main reasons I run the beta versions, is to test and help, with feedback. I have always gotten the full update as it when from "beta" to "release". This is a big thing for people to help, or to people who are trying a new OS (Linux) for the first time. Unfortunately, I am not going to be ab...

Thanks to Boo, development and releases can start before I do that and while I'm still developing the Main edition. You need to understand that, as a Community Edition, KDE is actually going to receive more attention than it did before, because now it's somebody's number 1 concern. This is actually...
