Re: MakuluLinux E17 release

most of the above is settings that can be changed as pointed out and i fully understand that coming from XFCE, Mate and so forth the os apears to be backwards and wrong way around when you click on things or find window focus not the way you are used to ( E17 is known for its "unique" way ...

Re: MakuluLinux E17 release

At first glance E17 might not look like anything special, but it is HIGHLY configurable, more than any other DE ive ever encountered, including xfce, its also lightning fast and uses very little resources while providing nice eye candy effects. I will admit that it does take some getting used to and...

Re: 32 bit to 64 bit

Physical Address extensions. It allows a 32bit operating system to use more than 4GB ram. Windows doesnt have PAE, Linuxmint does. So in windows 32bit you are limited to 4GB ram, but in linuxmint 32bit you arent :)

Re: 32 bit to 64 bit

version 14, 32bit is PAE enabled, meaning it shows all your ram, not just 4GB, there is no need to upgrade to 64bit.

Re: can't install compiz

yes you can, you must just enable to setting in compiz.

open compiz settings manager ( its in your start menu ), and look around, near bottom you will see a place that is called "move windows" or something like that, tick it. then reboot and windows can be moved.
