telling someone to reinstall is not a fix ! Others have this issue too. i also notice that other third party apps have this issue and their developers are fixing it. the mintsources In the LMDE ( Debbie ) repositories has this issue as well. most of the above is settings that can be changed as pointed out and i fully understand that coming from XFCE, Mate and so forth the os apears to be backwards and wrong way around when you click on things or find window focus not the way you are used to ( E17 is known for its "unique" way ...

There is a new version of installer being worked on that will be in the new 5 series of releases that i am busy with, it is much more refined and easier to use, however with the current installer there is a "install guide" icon on the desktop of live mode that has a detailed video guide to...

we have some apps and services running at startup that contribute to memory usage, these can't be avoided, considering everything, under 300mb is actually quite good, glad you like the distro

At first glance E17 might not look like anything special, but it is HIGHLY configurable, more than any other DE ive ever encountered, including xfce, its also lightning fast and uses very little resources while providing nice eye candy effects. kernel.org doesnt supply aufs tho. I have already updated my kernel to 3.8, but im trying to make a live cd backup and im having booting problems on live CD because its missing aufs for the 3.8.3 kernel. Physical Address extensions. It allows a 32bit operating system to use more than 4GB ram. Windows doesnt have PAE, Linuxmint does. So in windows 32bit you are limited to 4GB ram, but in linuxmint 32bit you arent

version 14, 32bit is PAE enabled, meaning it shows all your ram, not just 4GB, there is no need to upgrade to 64bit.

yes you can, you must just enable to setting in compiz.
open compiz settings manager ( its in your start menu ), and look around, near bottom you will see a place that is called "move windows" or something like that, tick it. then reboot and windows can be moved.
