USB Headset + ALSA support
hey everybody, So I've got a nice Logitech USB headset that I've been (sort of) using with my mint install on my laptop. When I plug it in it's detected and setup in alsa perfectly, but when i set it as the default output in gnome-sound-properties GUI it has no effect. The "test" button works and th...

For those with TV cards...
I have an MSI TV@nywhere and had a few issues getting it working well, especially sound-wise, so maybe it can help out people with other cards. Mint has the video4linux drivers already set to go so.... For TV watching: Get tvtime. sudo apt-get install tvtime It works very fast, is easy to configure,...

Logitech G-15 Keyboard and kernel uinput support
Hey everybody,
I'd like to get my G15 keyboard working, and both of the oustide tools/libraries that I got require the kernel to have uinput support enabled. This is also known as "user level driver support". How do I do this for Celena?
Thanks!

Reinstalling Bootloader on Celena 3.1
First off, props to the new bootloader in Mint 3.1. Very sweet. However, after installing Vista (*hangs head in shame*) on my 2nd hard drive, it overwrote the bootloader. Is there a way I can just reinstall the bootloader without having to totally reinstall Mint? I know I can just get GRUB from thei...

Can't get 1440x900 res. w/ nVidia drivers
I have a GeForce 8600GT, 19" Acer AL1917W, and I am using the latest nVidia drivers, but I cannot get the resolution in nvidia settings nor gnome's screen resolution utility to appear. I have googled the crap out of this topic as well as checked all the threads here to no avail. Here are the relevan...
