Re: Performance issues on Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230

I solved the problem by upgrading the kernel from 3.11 to 3.13 using the following commands. Thanks to http://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2014/01/linux-kernel-3-13-install-in-ubuntu-linux-mint/ For 64-bit Ubuntu, Linux Mint and alternatives run commands below one by one: wget http://kernel.ubuntu.c...

As soon as i unplug my Charger i get high latency pings and when i plug it back in the adapter it works fast without any problems, does anyone know where i can make changes to make it pe...

Now here comes the catch, the script uses the OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 (sysUpTime) but ...

Re: Encrypted Home Folder

I would recommend against it, like the previous poster told it adds complexity. For example, my sabnzbd is not starting up from init.d because of my home folder being encrypted, moving the config file outside my home folder resolves the problem. Also, backing up your home folder using a pogram and t...

Re: Netflix doesn't support Linux, yet...

Completely blank? Or what does netflix say? Pipelight is the actual "plugin" to give your computer the ability to play netflix videos, however, that is only half of it! Now we need to trick Netflix that you are a Windows machine. I am hoping you are using firefox since this advice depends on it: Ge...
