Ok, whenever I try to install pretty much anything, I get an error like this: E: install-info: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 127

Ok this is my final option senario. No linux, with Windows 7 home premium with 64 bit. Nothing is on it, everything has been reset, but I will not tolerate it if it makes the system slower

If you open a terminal and type sudo update-grub This will list all OS's on your drives and should list Windows. If so, just reboot and select Windows from the Grub boot menu.
